Ovatek liferafts are subjected to exhaustive testing to simulate the worst case conditions they may be subjected to during emergencies at sea.

Side Impact Test

With 550kg of sand inside, the Ovatek 7 is repetitively smashed against a steel barge. Only minor cosmetic damage occurs. This test can be viewed in RealVideo format or can be downloaded in MPEG format (better quality).

Drop Test

The Ovatek 7 is dropped from a height of 18 meters. At impact it is travelling at 70 Km/h. Only light stress fractures occur. This test can be viewed in RealVideo format or can be downloaded in MPEG format (better quality).
